Board and Train

Thorough and intensive residential dog training.

The Board and Train.

£1800 for 2 weeks.

Then £800 per week for every week after the initial 2 week stay.

For dogs aged minimum 8 months and upwards.

Your dog will come to live with us for two weeks (minimum) so that we can start from scratch. We will work with your dog in multiple short sessions every day teaching them good behaviour such as polite house manners, the loose lead walk, how to relax and how to be a great member of society.

The Board and Train is about setting a new routine and expectations for a dog who may have been having a hard time getting to grips with it all.

This program includes an introduction session, regular updates with pictures and videos and an in-depth go home lesson where we show you how to maintain your dog’s training.

  • What.

What is a Board and Train? It’s a 2 week (minimum) residential training course for your dog. This isn’t a typical boarding service, but rather an intensive training program where your dog will receive multiple short training sessions with a trainer every single day for two weeks.

As well as being confident and experienced in handling dogs, we have unique access to a wide array of experiences that can help a variety of behaviours and put your dog on the fast track towards your training goals.

Then it’s your turn. During your in-depth handover, we will train you to do all the techniques and approaches we have used and put you on a training plan to help your dog’s new behaviours take root when they go home.

  • Where.

Your dog will come to live with us in our home. We are a licensed home boarding establishment with 4 stars awarded to us by our local council. Your dog will have access to our secure garden and living areas and will be treated with love and kindness as if they were our own.

Depending on the goals you ask for us to work on, we can walk and train your dog in busy, built up areas, or beautiful rural countryside, on their own or with lots of other dogs.

Your dog will always travel in safety and comfort in one of our dedicated vans.

“But what if my dog doesn’t behave the same for me when they come back? What if they only do it for you?”

This service is designed to include you every step of the way - it’s just that we do the training. First, we have an on-boarding session, where will we discuss with you at length what your goals are, make initial observations of your dog and tell you exactly what we think is achievable when we make our plan.

We will then update you every single day with what your dog has done, how the training is going and how we are approaching our shared goals for your dog. We will ask questions as and when they come up, and you will very much be included in the conversation. Transparency is extremely important to us.

At the end of the Board and Train, we will have an in-depth handover where we’ll first discuss everything we’ve done and everything we want you to continue doing in great detail, then we will show you exactly how to do it hands on. We want to make sure our training sticks just as much as you do, so it’s imperative we see you handling your dog to help you get comfy with everything you’ll need to do going forwards. You will be sent home with a training plan to ensure the training works just as well for you as it did for us.

Finally, we will check in. We want to know you’re doing fabulously, we want to know if you have any questions that have cropped up and we want to see how you’re getting on. We’ve put so much effort into training your dog, I promise you, we care more than you know!

Fetch Club has been awarded a 4 star licence for the purpose of home boarding dogs. The 5th star is only attainable after renewal of the licence.

What does this mean for you? It means that we run a professional outfit, we do our paperwork, we comply with local council laws and we live in a clean and tidy home. It means our insurance is valid to cover every eventuality we need it to, and that we’ve already considered and have protocols in place for every situation. We took extra qualifications in order to achieve this licence and we’re up to date on our Animal Welfare Regulations.

It means we care about what you think of us and our service, and we will go above and beyond to make sure we tick every box to be the best that we can be.
